Mentone Bypass - Loving County, TX

2022-2023

JHCC constructed a bypass around the town of Mentone, Texas. The oil field debris was cleared away and the existing utilities were either relocated or removed depending on the situation. Proper drainage was achieved and then a new roadway was built from the subgrade up. Included was subgrade prep, base course, Hot Mix Asphalt paving, pavement markings, shoulder grading, signage, fencing, water line casings, electrical conduits, and overhead lighting.

JHCC also overlaid and widened County Road 300 during the bypass construction to extend drainage structures, relocate signs, install overhead lighting, update pavement markings and reconstruct driveways. After completion of the tie-in for the county road to the bypass, JHCC overlaid and striped 18.5 miles of roadway that had been previously built for the county.

Additionally, several streets in the town of Mentone were given hot mix asphalt pavement overlays and striping.
